The company was founded in Sora, in the province of Frosinone, in the immediate postwar period from the passion of the Abbate family for upholstery and curtains. The small artisan workshop has become in a short time a point of reference for young people wishing to learn the art of upholstery and the processing of furnishing fabrics; in fact, the techniques taught by the Abbate family have made school, so much so that many apprentices have opened various workshops locally.

In August 1990, Stefano Abbate inherited the business from his parents. The experience grown over the years, the tradition, the continuous research of fabrics, technologies, new fields of application interior upholstery and curtains; there wide choice of materials and solutions, the professionalism of the staff in the study, consultancy, operation, application and assistance phase; the well-equipped laboratory, the well-stocked showroom and the achievement of the ISO 9001 and Environment ISO 14001: 2004 quality certifications, have ensured that the Stefano Abbate - Arredamenti in tessuto became a cutting-edge company in its sector able to satisfy the most demanding customers.

Today Stefano Abbate's company has a showroom in Rome, in the Parioli district; always maintaining the production center in Sora, it offers its services not only to the private sector but also to the public sector, Contract and Ho.re.ca furnishing indoor and outdoor spaces of hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. The company has also become a sales point Atelier Gibus of pergolas and awnings.

Innovation also in the field of the web. In 2014 the company embarked on a process of digitization by enrolling in Excellence in Digital, a program aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises that want to grow on and thanks to the web. In 2016 he participated in the project Grow digital, hosting a young trainee Giacomo Verde in its headquarters.
